Tree Removal Planned At Popular Public Parking Area In Falls Church
The City of Falls Church is planning a tree removal that will disrupt public parking spaces on one day.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — A tree removal is being planned in a popular public parking area in the City of Falls Church.
City government said Dominion Energy and the city's tree contractor JL Tree will remove five large oak trees on N. Maple Avenue near Park Avenue. The trees are next to public parking spaces, often used by visitors to Northside Social, the Falls Church Farmers Market and other businesses.
"Tree removal is necessary because they have a white rot that significantly compromises their structural integrity, which poses a significant risk to the public," city government said in a statement. "In the future, new trees will be planted."
