YouEmpowered Launches to Support Cancer Patients and Families

Through Compassionate, Evidence-Based Education

Falls Church, Virginia — YouEmpowered Inc., a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, proudly announces the launch of its patient education and support initiatives designed to empower cancer patients and families through clear, compassionate, and evidence-based resources.

Founded by McLean High School student Chloe Giglio, YouEmpowered aims to break down barriers in cancer literacy, informed decision-making, and caregiver support. “In the midst of my mom’s leukemia journey, I realized how overwhelming cancer can feel when you don’t have clear information or a community behind you,” says Giglio, who became her mother’s bone marrow donor at the age of 13, later earning a Grand Award at the 2025 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair for her cancer immunotherapy research. “No family should face cancer alone or in the dark.”

At the heart of YouEmpowered’s mission lies a simple but powerful belief: knowledge is power. Through accessible educational materials, multilingual content, patient stories, caregiver resources, and mental health support, YouEmpowered is redefining how families navigate treatment and survivorship.
