2 Arrested Following Disturbance At Fredericksburg Motel: Sheriff
Stafford County Sheriff's deputies charged two men in connection to a disturbance Monday at a Fredericksburg motel, according to reports.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — An investigation into a disturbance at a Fredericksburg motel ended with two arrests, one for driving under the influence and the other on outstanding warrants from other localities, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
A sheriff’s deputy responded around 12:50 p.m, on Monday, for the report of a disturbance at the Days Inn Motel located at 14 Simpson Road. Learning that someone had been banging loudly on the door of one of the motel rooms, the deputy found that a window had been shattered, according to the incident report.
The occupant of the room told the deputy that they had been celebrating a birthday in one of the mini-rooms, when someone began to aggressively knock on the door, according to the report. Moments later, the window was shattered.

After reviewing motel surveillance video, the deputy determined that a man wearing light jeans and a dark jacket kicked the window, causing it to break. During the incident, the suspect dropped a cellphone.
The deputy used the phone to identify the suspect as 31-year-old c of Stafford and tracked him to the Exxon located at 375 Warrenton Road, according to the sheriff’s office. Scott-Alston was behind the wheel of a car and had injuries consistent with those made by breaking glass. He also appeared to be intoxicated.

Scott-Alston was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries, according to the sheriff's office. He was also issued a releasable warrant for driving under the influences. Additional charges for damaging the motel window are pending.
During the investigation, sheriff’s deputies determined that one of the partygoers, identified as 30-year-old Lafayette King of Stafford, was wanted on warrants out of Stafford and Fredericksburg, according to authorities. After being served on his outstanding warrants,King was taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail, where he was held on a $5,000 secured bond.
