2 Teens Charged In Robbery Of Fredericksburg Tobacco And Vape Store

Two juveniles from Stafford County have been charged in connection with the armed robbery of a tobacco and vape store in Fredericksburg.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Two juveniles from Stafford County have been charged in connection with the armed robbery of a tobacco and vape store in Fredericksburg on Jan. 29, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.

The two suspects — a 16-year-old and 17-year-old — were charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, underage possession of a firearm, and discharging a firearm in an occupied dwelling.

Both suspects remain incarcerated at the Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center, according to the police department.

At about 3:50 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, police received a report of an armed robbery at the Tobacco Hut and Vape at 1909 Dixon Street.

Officers responded and set up a perimeter, and began their investigation. Store employees said a Black male and a white/Hispanic male entered the store with their faces and hair covered.

The white/Hispanic male fired a single shot and demanded money, police said. The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. They drove away in a dark gray or silver SUV, according to police.

No one was injured in the robbery.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office helped with the investigation, according to Fredericksburg police.
