25th Annual Luminaria Saturday In Fredericksburg
Imagine some 15,300 lighted candles in remembrance of fallen soldiers. You'll see just that Saturday at Fredericksburg National Cemetery.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA—Imagine some 15,300 lighted candles in remembrance of fallen soldiers. Imagine no more, simply check out the moving tribute 8-11 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Fredericksburg National Cemetery, 1013 Lafayette Boulevard.
Hosted by the National Park Service, it's the 24th annual luminaria honoring "soldiers who have died in the service of this country." Area scouts will light the candles, one for each soldier buried at the cemetery.
A bugler will play "Taps" every 30 minutes, and park employees posted at various points in the cemetery will be on hand to tell stories about some soldiers. There's an emphasis this year on recent efforts to identify some unknown soldiers buried there.
