Friday night's winning numbers were: the white balls 3, 8, 31, 35 and 44, plus the gold Mega Ball 16.

The Virginia ticket that won $3 million did so by matching the first five numbers in Friday’s drawing. The only number it did not match was the Mega Ball number. Normally that wins $1 million, but the player spent an extra dollar for the Megaplier when buying the ticket. That extra dollar tripled the prize to $3 million. The ticket was bought online by a player in Roanoke County.
