7 Drug Trafficking Charges Filed After Fredericksburg Traffic Stop

A Spotsylvania County man faces multiple drug trafficking charges, including for fentanyl and cocaine, Fredericksburg Police said.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A Spotsylvania County man faces multiple drug trafficking charges, including for fentanyl and cocaine, a Fredericksburg Police Department news release said.

The suspect was pulled over Friday night after an officer on patrol saw a Honda Civic make an illegal left-hand turn onto Fall& Hill Avenue from the Forest Village Apartment Complex. The officer followed the vehicle and made a traffic stop.

When the officer reached the car, the driver identified himself as Cleveland Parker and said his license was suspended. The officer reportedly saw signs of drug activity and searched the car, finding a plastic bag with pressed fentanyl pills, MDMA, mushrooms, an ounce of
marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, a police news release said.

Parker, 40, of Spotsylvania County, was taken into custody without incident and arrested on seven charges:

  • Possession with intent to distribute a schedule I/II- fentanyl
  • Possession with intent to distribute a schedule I/II- MDMA
  • Possession with intent to distribute a schedule I/II- psilocybin
  • Possession of a schedule I/II drug- cocaine
  • Possession with intent to distribute marijuana more than 1 ounce
  • Driving with a revoked license
  • Failure to obey a highway sign

He is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
