Angry Customer Threatens To Burn Down Dealership Over Car's Price

An angry customer threatened to burn down a used car dealership in Stafford County Wednesday afternoon, according to the sheriff's office.

STAFFORD, VA — An angry customer threatened to burn down a used car dealership in Stafford County Wednesday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, a sheriff’s deputy went to the Cars2us dealership at 3329 Richmond Highway for a report of a disturbance with a weapon.

Staff at the car dealership told the deputy that a customer got angry at the price of a vehicle and threatened to “come back and burn this place down,” according to the sheriff’s office.

The angry customer then brandished a gun before leaving the dealership, the sheriff’s office said.

The car dealership provided the deputy with the suspect’s name because he had provided identifying information before taking a car on a test drive earlier in his visit.

The sheriff’s office then obtained warrants for the customer’s arrest.
