Police: Armed Robbery Arrest After 3-Month Investigation

Late-night robbery in June at Magic Bullet Skateboards was interrupted when owner stopped by store.

More than three months after an armed robbery at Magic Bullet Skateboards, Fredericksburg Police have arrested a suspect in custody.

Authorities arrested Roger Leroy Pryor, 27, of Fredericksburg, and charged him with attempted malicious bodily wounding, robbery and burglary/breaking an entering in connecting to the robbery on June 28.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on the 28th, police responded to Magic Bullet Skateboards, located on Caroline Street, in response to a report of breaking and entering.

The owner of the shop told police he returned to his store and found an unknown man inside the business. When the owner entered his business, he encountered the suspect, who quickly wielded a pocket knife.

Following a brief altercation, the suspect fled on foot. He took cash and a large number of other items.

Police later found a broken window near the basement door, believed to be Pryor’s point of entry.

After more than three months of searching, Pryor is now being detained. He was taken into custody without incident, and a number of stolen items from Magic Bullet Skateboards were recovered upon his arrest.
