Attempted Sex Assault at Downtown Shop: Police

Fredericksburg City Police release description of suspect.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — An employee at a downtown business has reported an attempted sexual assault, according to Fredericksburg City Police. The March 5 incident was reported by police on Friday.

According to police, an unknown man entered the business in the 900 block of Caroline Street and attempted to sexually assault the employee.

She was able to maneuver away from the unknown man and he left the store.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 35 to 45 years of age, 5’11” to 6’, with dark brown thick hair, bushy eyebrows, and was wearing a gray canvas jacket and dark pants at the time of the incident.

Vandalism: WC Spratt, 491 Central Road, 6/15, 11:00 p.m. An employee reported that an unknown person shattered the window of a Bobcat. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Larceny: McDonalds, 1212 Jefferson Davis Highway, 6/16, 2:30 a.m. A City resident reported that an unknown person stole his unsecured bicycle. The bicycle is a gray Trek 4.0. The investigation is ongoing.
