Charges Filed After Missile Thrown in Road Rage
After an incident of road rage, Spotsy sheriff's have arrested one man and are looking for a second suspect after a bottle was thrown from a moving car.

A Spotsylvania man is behind bars and sheriff's deputies are looking for a second suspect in relation to a road rage incident which saw an empty plastic drink bottle thrown at a motorist.
The incident began shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 30 when deputies responded to the Wawa on Falcon Drive for a report of a missile thrown at a vehicle. It all started, sheriff's say, when Spotsylvania resident Pamela Matthews cut off a car at the intersection of Jefferson Davis Highway and Market Street. Robert King, a passenger in the car which had been cut off, reached over and honked the car horn at Matthews. Matthews then stopped her car and got out to approach the car that King was riding in. The driver of King's car kept going, and King allegedly threw an empty gatorade bottle toward Matthews and her car.
Deputy Dillon Tittle spoke with both parties before meeting with a magistrate who issued a felony warrant for Robert King for throwing a missile at a vehicle. A misdemeanor warrant for Pamela Matthews was issued, but sheriff's were unable to find her as of last night.
Throwing a missile at a vehicle is class four felony in Virginia. If found guilty, King could spend between two and 10 years in prison and a fine up to $100,000.
