Man Who Stiffed Restaurant Found With Nearly 80 Credit Cards: Police

A New York man who raised a ruckus in a local restaurant last weekend is in jail, accused of credit card forgery and possession of fake driver's licenses, among other charges, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

Kevin S. Lynch, 43, is being held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond after sheriff's deputies and detectives found him in possession of nearly 80 credit cards, including 28 under an alias, the sheriff's office said. >>> Read more.

4th of July: Virginia State Police Beefing Up Weekend Patrols

Virginia State Police will increase patrols on the Commonwealth's highways this 4th of July holiday weekend, the VSP announced Thursday.

Beginning Friday, July 1, VSP will join law enforcement around the country for Operation CARE (Combined Accident Reduction Effort), a state-sponsored, national program intended to reduce crashes, fatalities and injuries due to impaired driving, speed and failing to wear a seat belt. >>> Read more.
