Doc Drop: Council Agendas - November 22, 2011

City Council continues to tackle issues related to new court facility.

The Fredericksburg City Council will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 22 for a work session and a regular session.

At the work session, the City Council will hear a staff presentation on nuisance residential properties.

At the regular session, the City Council will hold a second public hearing on the $38.7 million in bonds being floated to pay for the construction of a new downtown court facility.

Related to that, the City Council will also hear the public on plans to move the office of the Voter Registrar, the first step in the shuffling of offices to make way for interim court facilities as the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court is demolished and the General District Court is refurbished into the new home of the J&DR court.

The City Council will also hold a final vote to adopt a new redistricting plan.
