FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The Stover Jarrell Agency, LLC, a father/daughter-run property management company, recently purchased two adjoining commercial properties in downtown Fredericksburg, according to a release.

The properties are located at 1009 and 1017 Sophia St., the latter being the former home of The Pig Pitt restaurant. They are SJA’s first acquisition since it was formed in 2024.

“This purchase aligns with our long-term vision to expand our commercial portfolio in Downtown Fredericksburg,” said Jewels Jarrell Stover, president of SJA. “We’re committed to supporting our city’s economy by investing in properties that combine character with Opportunity.”

Situated on the Rappahannock River, 1009 and 1017 Sophia St. are within walking distance of historic attractions, dining, and retail. The single-story building offers approximately 2,600 square feet of commercial space, which enhances SJA’s presence in one of the city’s growing corridors, as well as support local businesses and community development.
