- Today, Jun. 20, the polls are open for Fredericksburg voters to cast their votes for the local 2023 Democratic and Republican Party primaries. Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with three names on the ballot, one Democratic primary and two Republican Democratic primaries, for Fredericksburg residents. - School Dressing Days will return in July at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fredericksburg. The charity organization provides clothing and school supplies for school-age children by turning the church into a "mini-department store." Those wishing to participate must register online or in person from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Jul. 12 at The Church of Latter Day Saints, 1710 Bragg Road, or at the same time at the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, 308 Hanover Street, in Fredericksburg. - Fredericksburg celebrated Juneteenth on Saturday, Jun. 17, at the Virginia Credit Union Stadium. The event included live music, business showcases, dancing, jazz, historic reenactment, a bike and car show, Mr. & Miss Juneteenth scholarship award, fireworks, and more.
