Girl Charged With Felony Threat To Bomb School In Stafford: Sheriff
A girl who lives in the Stafford Lakes area near Fredericksburg was detained Monday night in connection with a bomb threat against a school.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A juvenile girl who lives in the Stafford Lakes subdivision near Fredericksburg was detained Monday night in connection with a bomb threat toward a school, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
An employee with the FBI National Threat Line received information about a bomb threat posted on social media, the sheriff’s office said. After learning about the threat, a deputy then contacted the girl accused of making the threat.
A criminal complaint for felony threat to bomb a school was filed, and the girl was detained at the Juvenile Detention Center, according to the sheriff’s office. The sheriff's office did not identify the school that was threatened.
