Graffiti Spree Defaces Downtown Area In Fredericksburg: Police

Authorities are "actively investigating" a graffiti spree that occurred downtown during the overnight hours of May 1: Fredericksburg Police.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA—Authorities are "actively investigating" a graffiti spree that occurred downtown during the overnight hours of Wednesday, May 1, according to Fredericksburg Police. Officers have found at least 90 so-called "tags" on 18 businesses, a residence, a mural, parking lots, dumpsters and more. Here are the blocks vandalized:

  • 100 and 200 blocks of George Street
  • 800 block of Caroline Street
  • 800 block of Princess Anne Street (Jail Alley)
  • 900 block of Sophia Street

Anyone with information is urged to immediately call police at 540-373-3122.
