STAFFORD, VA — A student struck an adult in the head at a school in Stafford County on Wednesday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.

At about 10:15 a.m., a school resource officer at Shirley Heim Middle School in Stafford was conducting his duties when he was informed of the assault.

Camera footage showed the student striking the adult in the head. A criminal complaint for assault and battery was filed against the student, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
