Potomac Mills mall in Woodbridge will soon be gaining a new value store. Primark, an international retailer, announced a lease for a future opening at Potomac Mills. The store offers women’s, men’s and kids' clothing, as well as beauty, homeware and accessories.

A truck driver from Arlington was driving through Texas when he discovered that he had the winning numbers in the Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle and won $1 million.

Cha Street Food Holds Grand Opening With Gift Card Giveaway

Foodies can enjoy a taste of Pakistani fast-casual food at the new Cha Street Food that opened Friday in Sterling. Cha Street Food is a family-owned business and the second location, following a Tysons Corner Center location. The company donates a portion of proceeds to organizations helping underserved communities, such as Pakistan's Karachi Down Syndrome Association.

Less than a month from now, restaurants will offer specials for the returning Vienna Restaurant Week.

Tysons Casino Money: $1.2M Donated By Comstock Holdings, Allies

Comstock Holding Companies, its associates and employees donated a total of $1,247,993 in contributions to political candidates and political action committees between Jan. 1, 2022 and Jan. 31, 2024, according to state finance filings. Patch first reported last September that the Reston-based developer was planning to build a casino somewhere on Metro's Silver Line outside of the Capital Beltway in Fairfax County.

$1.4B Potomac Yard Arena Bill Advances In House, Stalls In Senate

With Virginia General Assembly approval being the first step required to advance an arena and entertainment district in Alexandria's Potomac Yard, legislation is only making progress in one chamber. A House bill by Del. Luke Torian (D-Prince William) to create a Virginia Sports and Entertainment Authority passed the Virginia House of Delegates Appropriations Committee 17-3.
