Police Seek Suspects in Mob Robbery
One man is behind bars, two more are still at large following a group mugging of a Fredericksburg resident.

Police are searching for two suspects involved in a violent mob-style robbery over the weekend on the 500 block of Weedon Street. A third suspect is already behind bars at the Rappahannock Regional Jail for his involvement in the robbery.
Police say the incident began around 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, November 12. The victim, a 52-year-old Weedon Street resident was standing outside of his apartment when a minivan stopped at the curb. The victim approached the car to talk with one of the occupants, who he recognized as the brother of one of his neighbors.
Suddenly, the back door of the van swung open and two men jumped out and knocked the victim to the ground. A third suspect also joined in the assault. The group robbed the man of cash before returning to their car and driving away.
The victim suffered minor scrapes and bruises and was not hospitalized.
Police say the victim identified two of the suspects in photo line-ups and obtained warrants charging 44-year-old Edward Washington and 40-year-old Anthony Washington with felony robbery and assault by mob.
Police located Edward Washington a few hours later in the 900 block of Lafayette Blvd where he was arrested without incident.
Police are still searching for Edward's brother Anthony Washington and an unidentified third suspect.
Anthony Washington is described by police as a black male standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 215 pounds. He has tattoos on both arms as well as his chest, however police spokesperson Natatia Bledsoe did not have on hand descriptions of the tattoos.
The third suspect is described as a 30-year-old black male, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. Police do not know his name, but believe that he may be related to the Washington's.
