Security App Now Available For Stafford Residents: SCSO
There's now a new way for residents to keep abreast of real-time crime and law enforcement efforts in the area, according to the SCSO.
STAFFORD, VA—There's now a new way for residents to keep abreast of real-time crime and law enforcement efforts in the area. The Stafford County Sheriff's Office has hooked up with the "Neighbors app by Ring," and thus become part of a network that, according to a release, has been key in catching package thieves, stopping burglaries and improving the safety of neighborhoods.
Said Stafford Sheriff David Decatur in the release: "The Neighbors app will provide the Stafford Sheriff’s Office with yet another tool for real-time communication with residents about crime and safety. We hope that residents will actively participate in the app as we work together to keep the community safe."
With the app, residents can share crime and safety related videos, photos, text-based posts and receive real-time safety alerts from neighbors, police and the Ring team.
