ALEXANDRIA, VA — A 25-year-old Fredericksburg man was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison for his role in a conspiracy to distribute thousands of counterfeit fentanyl pills across Virginia.
After obtaining counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl from out-of-state suppliers, Khalil Elijah Williams redistributed them to his co-conspirators in Virginia, including 30-year-old Alhagi Gassim Conteh, 30, of Alexandria, court records say.
Williams obtained thousands of fentanyl pills from co-conspirators in shipments from Arizona and another state, according to court documents.
