Sheriff's Seek Breaking and Entering Suspect
Employee at Simms Furniture Store stumbles upon two men digging through a storage container.

Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested one suspect and are looking for another who were caught breaking into a storage container at Simms Furniture Warehouse on Jefferson Davis Highway.
William Axtman, a 32-year-old Spotsylvania County resident, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and was taken to Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. He was discovered when an employee working at Simms noticed the shine of headlights coming from behind the business.
Curious, he walked around to investigate and stumbled upon two men rummaging through a storage container which belonged to the store. The employee approached the two men, one bolted and ran off leaving only Axtman behind.

Axtman was detained by the store employee and turned over to police. Once in police custody, Axtman admitted to breaking into the storage container and identified 25-year-old Spotsylvania County resident Cody Andrew Staples as his partner in crime.
Staples has not been arrested.
