Shooting, Break-Ins At 2 Apartments Investigated By Fredericksburg PD
Fredericksburg City Police received multiple reports of shots fired Monday night at an apartment complex on Townsend Boulevard.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg City Police responded around 6:07 p.m. on Monday for several reports of shots being fired in the 1100 block of Townsend Boulevard.
Investigators discovered that someone had broken into an apartment and taken several items, according to reports.
Searching the apartment complex, police located a bullet lodged in a kitchen cabinet in a second apartment that someone had broken into. Witnesses told police that after hearing a gunshot, they saw a group of men run out of the apartment building, get into a vehicle and drive off southbound on Emancipation Highway, police say.

No injuries were reported in connection with either of the incidents, according to FPD. Investigators were unable to confirm that the two incidents were related.
