Stafford Teen With Server That 'Rivals' The NSA Pleads Guilty: Report
A Stafford teen who falsely reported several school threats pled guilty to conspiring to make terroristic threats, according to a report.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A Stafford County teenager who falsely reported a series of school threats in 2023 was found with computers and a server in his home that “would rival the National Security Agency,” according to law enforcement officials.
The teen pled guilty to five counts of conspiring to make terroristic threats and two counts of falsely summoning law enforcement, NBC4 reported Saturday.
Between May and September 2023, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office responded to several calls of bombs and shootings at Stafford High School, Brooke Point High School, Dixon Smith Middle School and Drew Middle School, according to NBC4.

The threats, known as swatting, originated among online gamers. It involves falsely reporting a serious or violent crime in an effort to draw a large police response against an unsuspecting person or facility.
In their search of the teen’s home, Stafford County deputies searched computers, hard drives and a server, NBC4 reported.

The teen’s name and age have not been released.
