Stafford Woman Faces Drug Charge After Deputy Sees Her Take Fentanyl
A Stafford County Sheriff's deputy arrested a woman he saw take a fentanyl pill while sitting in her car, according to authorities.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A Stafford County Sheriff’s deputy arrested a woman outside a local convenience store after he spotted her taking what turned out to be a fentanyl pill, according to the incident report.
A deputy was on patrol around 11:48 p.m. on Monday near the Wawa at 9 South Gateway Drive. That was where he saw Heidi Erickson-Perkins of Stafford, who was sitting in her vehicle, pop a bright blue pill into her mouth, according to the sheriff's office.
When asked about the pill, Erickson-Perkins told the deputy that it was fentanyl that she had taken. The deputy noticed signs of intoxication typical with drug use, according to the report. Searching the vehicle, the deputy recovered a large number of blue M-30 marked pills.

Erickson-Perkins was charged with driving under the influence and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, according to the sheriff’s office. She was then held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
