Storms Likely Overnight, Chance For More Thursday and Friday

Heavy rains possible Wednesday and Thursday night, possibly leading to some local flooding, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely Wednesday night, mainly after midnight, according to the National Weather Service.

There's only a chance for storms on Thursday, with the temperature near 81.

But the showers and thunderstorms return Thursday night, along with an increased chance of flooding after the soaking Wednesday night. 

A second system is expected to bring showers again Friday afternoon. Things will clear up overnight Friday for a sunny and warm weekend.

Here's the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Wednesday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8pm and midnight, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 69. Southeast wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. North wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday Night: Showers and thunderstorms. Low around 65. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Friday: Showers likely, mainly before 3pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Northeast wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. East wind 5 to 8 mph.
