Alexandria Star Athlete Balances Volleyball, Food Pantry Volunteering

GREATER ALEXANDRIA — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Hadley is a junior in high school playing her second year on the varsity team. She has a 4.3 GPA and serves her community through volunteering at a local food pantry that serves thousands of her neighbors each month. Hadley began volunteering on her own almost four years ago, and has brought in more volunteers along the way. Her neighbors also rely on her for responsible babysitting and dependable care for pets.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

She is one of the funniest people I know.
