Armed Robbery On Richmond Highway Reported, Suspect Wanted

BELLE HAVEN, VA — A suspect is being sought after an armed robbery Wednesday on Richmond Highway in the Belle Haven/Huntington area, Fairfax County Police say.

The armed robbery happened in the 5900 block of Richmond Highway. Police say the suspect showed a gun and stole merchandise. The suspect was described as a Black man between 5 foot 6 and 5 foot 9 wearing black. The suspect fled on foot toward Huntington Avenue, but police now believe he left the area in a vehicle. Detectives responded to the scene to investigate.

Police expect to provide more information at a later time. Anyone with information was asked to call 911.
