Fairfax Man Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In Woodlawn: Police
Fairfax County police said the man was walking across Richmond Highway on Friday night when he was hit by an unknown car.

WOODLAWN, VA — A Fairfax man died Friday night after he was hit by a car while trying to cross Richmond Highway in Woodlawn, authorities said.
According to Fairfax County police, officers were called to the highway near Brevard Court shortly before 10:15 p.m. after receiving a call about a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.
An investigation determined that 36-year-old Eder Machado Aleman attempted to cross Richmond Highway outside of a crosswalk when the driver of an unknown vehicle struck him. The car driver did not stop after the crash, police said.

According to authorities, Aleman suffered trauma to his upper body in the crash. He was taken to the hospital, where he died, police said.
Witnesses told police they saw a white SUV in the area leading up to the crash. Authorities are working to identify the vehicle and its driver, police said.
