First DC Area Dunkin' Donuts Of Its Kind Opens In Huntington

The store will be one of a few testing the name Dunkin' rather than Dunkin' Donuts.

HUNTINGTON, VA—Dunkin’ Donuts is opening the first DC area store of its kind in the Huntington area. The location at 5836 N. Kings Highway will host a grand opening Friday, Aug. 17.

Dunkin's Next Generation Concept Store offers a modernized design and new technologies to make the customer experience faster and more convenient. The store includes a new cold beverage tap system, grab and go snack and beverage selection and new uniforms. The store is also one of a number testing new signage referring to the store as simply “Dunkin’.”

The grand opening is from 7 a.m.-11 a.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. The festivities will include a Dunkin' prize wheel, appearances from Washington Capitals mascot Slapshot and Dunkin' Donuts mascot Sprinkles and sampling of the new cold beverage tap system.
