Hollin Hills House And Garden Tour 2024 Tickets Go On Sale

HOLLIN HILLS, VA — As the mid-century modern community of Hollin Hills celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2024, tickets for its popular tour are now available. The 2024 Hollin Hills House + Garden Tour is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2024.

The Civic Association of Hollin Hills offers the tour every two years, offering a glimpse inside the community of mid-century modern homes between the City of Alexandria and Mount Vernon. The community has hundreds of mid-century homes designed by architect Charles Goodman and constructed by developer Robert Davenport between 1946 and 1971. Hollin Hills is on the National Register of Historic Places and remains a top example of mid-century modern communities in the U.S.

The Hollin Hills House + Garden Tour allows attendees to learn about the mid-century modern community and design features of the homes. Over a dozen homes and gardens are expected to be open to ticketed attendees for the tour. This year's tour also celebrates the 75th anniversary of Hollin Hills.

The popular tour often sells out, so get your tickets early. Volunteers are also sought to help with the event. The cost is $55 for a regular ticket and $95 for a VIP ticket with one hour early access and a limited edition tour poster by Shag.

Tour hours will be noon to 6 p.m., while registration takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hollin Meadows Elementary School, 2310 Nordok Pl, Alexandria, VA 22306. New in 2024 will be a shuttle bus serving the tour locations.
