Lanes Closed For I-95 Crashes, Metro Delays: DC, NoVA AM Traffic

Good morning, Northern Virginia. Here's everything you need to know for your Monday morning commute.

On the Roads

As of 7:42 a.m., an incident on the reversible I-95 Express Lanes has closed one northbound lane at the 165.9 mile marker in Fairfax County.

As of 7:33 a.m., a disabled vehicle has closed the northbound right shoulder on I-95 at mile marker 166.4 in Fairfax County.

As of 7:32 a.m., a crash on southbound I-95 about 0.3 miles north of Route 619/Exit 150B has closed two lanes in Prince William County. Delays are around two miles.

As of 7:14 a.m., a crash on eastbound I-66 about 2.4 miles west of southbound I-495/Exit 64A in Fairfax County has closed no lanes.

As of 7:37 a.m., a multi-vehicle crash is causing delays on eastbound I-66 at the 62 mile marker in Fairfax County. The eastbound exit ramp narrows.

As of 6:58 a.m., a disabled vehicle has closed the northbound left shoulder on the northbound I-495 Express Lanes at mile marker 50.1 in Fairfax County.

On the Metro

On Metro's Blue and Silver Lines, residual delays are expected to Largo Town Center due to an earlier switch problem outside Stadium-Armory.

On the 7A Metrobus, buses are experiencing delays in both directions due to construction bypassing Duke Street in Alexandria.

Flooding on Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave NE at Minnesota Avenue in Washington is causing delays on the U4, U7, V2, V4 and X9.

Police presence at Alabama Avenue and Wheeler Road in Washington, DC is causing delays in both directions for the W4 Metrobus.

On the Orange Line, the Minnesota Ave, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover and New Carrollton remain closed through Labor Day due to a summer platform improvement project. Local and express shuttles are available at Stadium-Armory.

Weather

A chance of showers and thunderstorms appears at 2 p.m. and before 9 p.m., then a slight chance between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. Otherwise, the day will be sunny with a high near 94 and heat index values up to 103.
