Laundromats In Woodlawn Targeted In String Of Burglaries: Police
Laundry businesses were burglarized multiple times in late December and early January, according to Fairfax County Police.

WOODLAWN, VA — Laundry businesses are being targeted in a recent string of burglaries along the Richmond Highway corridor in Woodlawn, according to Fairfax County Police.
The burglaries happened at two businesses at the Woodlawn Shopping Center. The first incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 30 at 8752 Richmond Highway, which is being converted into a dry cleaning business. According to police, a suspect broke a window to enter the business but did not take anything.
The suspect in that burglary was wearing bright yellow gloves, a black hooded zip-up jacket, black pants, black mask, brown and gray shoes. Surveillance footage captured an image of the suspect.

That same night, police received a report of a burglary at Stars Laundromat, 8792 Sacramento Drive in the Woodlawn Shopping Center. Police say a suspect smashed a window to enter the business and stole cash.
Another burglary was reported at Stars Laundromat before 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 8. The suspect broke the glass to enter the business, stole cash and fled. Detectives found video surveillance footage of the suspect, who was described as a white man wearing a black ski-mask, black jacket, blue jeans, and black and white shoes.
