Metropolitan School of the Arts 2025 Spring Production: ECHO

Alexandria Performing Arts School Kicks Off 25th Annual Spring Performance, June 12-15

Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) is proud to announce its 25th Annual Spring Production, ECHO, a mesmerizing dance performance featuring more than 600 talented students from its youth dance program. Performances will be held at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center in Alexandria, VA on Thurs., June 12 at 6:30 PM, Fri., June 13 at 6:30 PM; and Sat., June 14 and Sun., June 15 with seatings at 12 noon and 5 pm. Tickets can be purchased at www.metropolitanarts.org ranging in price from $21 to $23.

ECHO invites audiences to journey inside the creative mind of MSA, exploring the emotions that shape our personalities and define what makes us uniquely ourselves. This milestone production is inspired by these emotions. Travel through time with MSA as ECHO revisits captivating dances from the past 25 years. Each piece will resonate with the laughter, tears, and triumphs that have become the hallmark of the MSA community. This heartwarming retrospective celebrates the bonds that unite us and the transformative power of the performing arts.

MSA congratulates 12th grade ECHO performers: Alexis White, attending New York University’s Tisch for Drama; Olivia Cooper, accepted into the Institute of the Arts in Barcelona studying musical theater; and Cassandra DellaVedova who will attend Temple University studying acting.

Two ECHO cast members received a Cappies award nomination, which is recognition for high school musical theatre students. Josie Sinniger, 11th grader, was named Best Vocalist in a Musical at Hayfield Secondary school in Alexandria, VA and Cassandra DellaVedova, 12th grade, was nominated for Best Dance in a Musical at South County High School in Lorton, VA.

"This production is more than just a dance performance; it's a celebration of our history, our community, and the incredible talent of our students," said Sara Hart, executive director of the Metropolitan School of the Arts in Alexandria, VA. "We are thrilled to share this journey through time and emotion with our audience," said Hart.

ABOUT METROPOLITAN SCHOOL OF THE ARTS (MSA) provides cutting-edge performing arts studio training in a holistic learning environment that cultivates creativity, builds community and empowers students.
