MSA’ to Present Virtual “Metropolitan World Tour"
Alexandria, Va. Performing Arts School to Perform Pre-recorded, Live Spring Production at Rachel M. Schlesinger Center

Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) of Alexandria, Virginia will present the virtual “Metropolitan World Tour,” its annual spring production, on June 12 and 13. The show was pre-recorded at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Center at Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria, Va. campus. Attendees can choose from six virtual show times, available between the hours of 10 AM and 9:30 PM. Tickets are $30 each. The Metropolitan World Tour is performed by MSA students, ages 3 to 18. The show will feature popular characters from the movie and explore different music, like funk, country, techno, classical, and pop. Viewers will see all styles of dance, as Poppy and Branch lead them through the Troll Kingdom.
“We may not be able to invite our family and friends to the theater, but we are grateful to still have the opportunity to create a show, stay inspired, grow in rehearsals, and now share the final product with you in the comfort of your own homes,” said Sara Hart, co-executive director of Metropolitan School of the Arts in Alexandria, Va.

The Academy at Metropolitan School of the Arts is a college preparatory performing arts school for emerging young artists, grades 7 to 12, who are dedicated to a rigorous academic experience in a pre-professional performing arts conservatory environment. Their cross-curricular approach to arts training fills each young artist’s toolbox with the dance, music and acting skills necessary to be a triple threat in the arts world. Metropolitan School of the Arts approach to education is designed to develop independent, self-motivated and skilled learners. The school offers a post-high school graduate program as well, for those students who desire an extra year to prepare for admittance into a performing arts university.
