FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Old Country Buffet has closed its doors, according to Auction Nation, which lists the restaurant under a recent auction of items.

Buffets LLC, the owner of the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this month, according to USA Today. The company closed 166 of its restaurants nationwide. The company blamed a lawsuit that was not disclosed when its current owner bought the businesses in August, according to Reuters.
Several media stories also report that the closings were made with little to no notice to employees.

The Alexandria-area restaurant was located at 7820 Richmond Highway (see map below) at the Mount Vernon Crossroads shopping center; the Fairfax location has also closed. The only Old Country Buffet now operating in Virginia is located in Woodbridge.
