Possible Gang-Related Mob Assaults Teen: Police
Police apprehended a 16-year old and are continuing to investigate the incident that took place Wednesday afternoon.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Police say a teen was assaulted by a mob of four or five teen boys Wednesday afternoon in the Hybla Valley area.
The incident took place near Fordson Road and Lockheed Boulevard Wednesday at about 3:20 p.m., police said.
The victim, an 18-year old man was walking home from school when he was approached by four to five teenaged boys, some of whom were acquaintances, police said. The suspects assaulted the victim and fled.

One of the suspects, a 16-year-old boy, was apprehended nearby, according to police. The victim incurred non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital. The incident was believed to be gang-motivated and charges are pending further investigation, police said.
