Power Outages Hit Richmond Highway Area In Fairfax County
Power outages impacted some neighborhoods as Fairfax County remains under a wind advisory for part of Friday.

FORT HUNT, VA — Power outages impacting parts of the Richmond Highway corridor during Friday's storm.
According to Dominion Energy's power outage map Friday morning, over 350 customers lost power in the southern part of Fort Hunt. A more significant outage occurred south of the area; over 4,200 customers experienced outages in the Lorton/Newington area around Interstate 95 and Richmond Highway.

Fairfax County Police also cautioned that several traffic signals are out in the area of Richmond Highway at Jeff Todd Way.
Fairfax County is under a wind advisory until 3 p.m. Friday. Expect west winds around 20 to 30 mph with gusts around 50 to 55 mph. These strong winds could blow around unsecured items, and downed tree limbs could result in power outages.
