'Serial Burglar' From Hybla Valley Tied To More Crimes: Police
A Hybla Valley man was arrested for a fifth time in 102 days as police investigate additional crimes beyond five burglaries within 12 hours.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A Hybla Valley man accused of five burglaries within 12 hours in Fairfax County is facing new charges for other crimes.
Angel Argueta Galeas, 22, of Hybla Valley, had been charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny, one count of petit larceny and several other charges for the five burglaries. One of these involved the home of a 93-year-old woman.
The incidents included a burglary and stolen vehicle from the 3300 block of Willow Crescent Drive in Oakton, attempted burglary at DigiTech-PC Solutions at 7601 Clifton Road in Fairfax Station, burglary in the 7100 block of Swift Trails Drive in Fairfax Station, 7100 block of Swift Trails Drive in the Clifton area. After the Clifton incident, another homeowner called police about a burglary, and police took Argueta Galeas into custody.

Since police arrested Argueta Galeas on Tuesday, police have been investigating additional crimes. Police found he had several items and confirmed with the property owners that they were stolen. After his Tuesday arrest, Argueta Galeas was released on bond from the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. His release came before detectives obtained additional warrants for arrest.
The police department's Fugitive Track and Apprehension Unit worked to locate Argueta Galeas again. On Friday, detectives found him in a stolen Hyundai Sonata with stolen license plates. The vehicle had been stolen from Fairfax County's West Springfield Police District earlier on Friday.

Additional charges against Argueta Galeas include three counts of misdemeanor destruction of property, three counts of petit larceny, three counts of vehicle trespassing and one count of credit card theft. He was also charged with grand larceny – auto theft, destruction of property, petit larceny, and violating conditions of his release. He was held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
