Update: Fort Hunt Residents Without Power
Fairfax County warns residents of high winds and rain

Update Dec 1, 2010 11:39a.m. :
Both Fort Hunt Elementary and Stratford Landing Elementary reported power outages this morning. Power was returned to students and faculty by 9:30 a.m. at Fort Hunt Elementary and by 9 a.m. at Stratford Landing.
Dominion Virginia Power reports that 248 people at two locations in Fort Hunt are currently affected by power outages as a result of the storm.

The National Weather Service no longer has a flash flood watch warning for the Alexandria area. The coastal flood advisory should be in effect until 3 p.m. According to the service weather conditions in Alexandria this afternoon should be cloudy, gradually becoming mostly sunny, with temperatures falling to around 44 degrees by 5.p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch warning for much of D.C. Metropolitan region, including Fort Hunt, from 1 a.m. until Wednesday afternoon.
The Fairfax County Community Emergency Alert Network warns residents that the approaching weather system could cause high winds and an estimated one inch of rain between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m.
Tomorrow, the National Weather Service expects showers in the Alexandria area and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, more rain between noon and 3pm. Temperatures are expected to fall to 46 degrees by 4p.m. tomorrow.
