I can spend hours at Lowes. Really. (OK, if I had hours on my hands, I could spend them at Lowes. But, extra time is not a luxury that I have. Moments - that's about all I can muster during the week.)  Anyway, suffice it to say that I am not immune to the allure of the big huge hardware / home shop.  That being said, I am all about supporting my little local hardware store.  It's much, much smaller than one of the big box shops, but they are well stocked and very helpful.

My family and I have been going to the Variety store since I was a runt. It is like a miniature Walmart with a wide array of products.  then I would just stop looking in general.

I love how the vet themselves call and check up on your babies.  Dr. Borakove followed up numerous times, just to see how my baby was doing on her medicine that was prescribed.  I loved how the doctor was very caring and wanted to make sure that everything was okay.  It was nice to not have a random person call, but the doctor themselves to check up on the patients.

They've helped us address problems past vets had prescribed extreme treatments for. On a few occasions we've had near-emergency problems (old cats not eating, young pups eating everything, but no injuries) and we've always gotten in right away. Someone (often the doctor) always calls the next day or so to check on our pet after a visit, even if it's just a vaccine trip. They baby talk our pets and take the time to explain everything to us.
