Woman, 18, Robbed at Knifepoint in Richmond Highway Parking Lot: Police

Suspect in armed robbery described as 20 year old black mail wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A teenager was robbed at knifepoint last Thursday night in a local parking lot, according to Fairfax County Police.

Police say the incident took place Thursday at about 8:45 p.m. in the 7900 block of Richmond Highway (see map below).

The victim, an 18-year-old woman, was walking in the parking lot when a man approached her, police said. The suspect displayed a knife, took property and fled, according to police. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as black, about 20 years old, with a medium build, and approximately 6 feet tall, police said. He was wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt and a dark-colored winter cap.
