Woodbine Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Alexandria has earned a Silver – Achievement in Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). Located at 2729 King St., Woodbine provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.

AHCA/NCAL is the nation’s largest association of long-term and post-acute care providers. The Silver award represents the second of three distinctions possible through its National Quality Award Program, which acknowledges organizations that meet progressively rigorous standards of performance to further improve the lives of residents and staff in long-term care.

Woodbine previously received the AHCA/NCAL’s Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award. Now, as a 2025 Silver award recipient, the center can move on to the final and most prestigious level of the program, the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award. Trained examiners review each application to determine if the center has met the demands of criteria in the areas of leadership, strategic planning, customer and workforce, operations, and knowledge management.

In addition, the Alexandria center maintains a Five-Star Overall rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and has earned accreditation for its quality care and services from The Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare.
