- Get ready for the first Pop Up in the Park event on Jun. 3 at Hillandale Park in Harrisonburg! Bring your bike and enjoy a morning filled with obstacle courses, riding, and tune-ups. The Parks and Recreation staff will be available to assist with inflating tires, adjusting seats, and ensuring helmets fit properly for a safe and enjoyable biking experience. Remember, helmets are required for children 14 years old and younger, and the event will proceed rain or shine unless there is extreme weather, in which case cancellations will be communicated through social media. - Shenandoah Valley residents should be aware of local phishing and scam reports throughout the region. A lot of the scams are being run through Facebook Marketplace or identity theft.
