  1. The summertime Mobile Cafe is rolling around the city again. Harrisonburg City Schools program has been feeding the community since 2017 and is still driving on. They say two mobile cafe units will operate within the city throughout July, and even offer live music at times. (WHSV)
  2. During campus tours led by Grace Treml, a Student Ambassador and rising sophomore, she noticed a peculiar appliance in sample residential rooms. Resembling a microwave, this appliance, known as a "MicroFridge," raised curiosity among touring students and parents as microwaves had been prohibited in individual rooms on campus. JMU has signed a contract with MicroFridge's Virginia contractor, Melvin Corp., to offer this two-door refrigerator, freezer, and microwave combination for rental at a price of $209.99 to on-campus students during the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year, a decision supported by JMU's Vice President for Student Affairs, Tim Miller. (The Breeze)
  3. The Rockingham-Harrisonburg Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RHSPCA is at full capacity! With over 371 cats currently at the facility they are urging patrons to call first and visit the website, before dropping a cat or kitten off. (WHSV)
