  1. A Harrisonburg man has been arrested after a vehicle crash on Friday night near Charles Street and Jefferson Street, resulting in injuries to two individuals who were flown to UVA Medical Center. The crash involved the suspect's vehicle, a pedestrian, and another vehicle, although the passengers in the latter were unharmed. Gilmer Diaz Deleon, 22, is facing charges of reckless driving and driving without a license. (WHSV)
  2. The Valley 4th Run is a race in the Shenandoah Valley that offers participants the choice of running a 1.5 mile, 5K, or 10K distance. Taking place in downtown Harrisonburg on Independence Day, it provides an opportunity for people of all fitness levels to join in, including walkers. Participants can cool down at the finish line with an optional 40-foot slip and slide. The event also supports a cause by collecting school supplies for low-income students through a partnership with United Way. (Visit Harrisonburg VA)
  3. EmergiCare, a clinic in the Friendly City area, has observed a rise in demand for aesthetic services, such as chemical peels and Botox, which were previously scarce in the Shenandoah Valley. The past year has shown that these treatments can positively impact mental well-being, blending aesthetics with traditional health care. The family-owned clinic aims to normalize and destigmatize these services, offering them for prevention and treatment purposes to people of different age groups. They plan to expand their wellness offerings, including a weight loss program and additional injectables, to further establish themselves as a hub for urgent care. (WHSV)
