  1. Massanutten Regional Library is launching its summer reading program! The program aims to encourage all ages to read throughout the summer months while also offering rewards and special events. Some of the events include Bright Star Theatre performances, free admission on Fridays to local activities, game nights, and more. The Massanutten summer reading program will be from Jun. 5 to Jul. 21. Sign up in person at the Massanutten Regional Library or here. (WHSV)
  2. A Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation plan is in the works to offer more inclusive activities for those with different abilities. The Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation Program Supervisor Harriet Flynn said hearing from community members and what they are looking for is helpful, and they are always open to suggestions.   3. It’s Pollinator Month in Harrisonburg! In 2019, Harrisonburg became a pollinator corridor by planting gardens and trees for all the pollinator species that need them. In celebration, local departments and businesses are offering events and workshops all month long.
