HERNDON, VA -- Police are searching for a suspect after an armed robber demanded personal property from a man on Elden Street, and then fled when the victim tried to call the police.

The victim was in the 1100 block of Elden Street on Feb. 18 when a man brandished a weapon and demanded personal property, according to a report from the Herndon Police Department.

"When the victim attempted to call the police, the suspect ran away," the report states. "The personal property was recovered."

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man between 19-21 years of age who was wearing a dark blue hoodie or jacket with the hood up and black pants.
