Why are you seeking elective office?
I'm running because state education policies coming from the state Department of Education, which are backed by the Democrat Party majority in the General Assembly, do not reflect the values of the Virginia's localities.
Education is the most pressing issues facing our district and this is what I intend to do about them.
Return education decisions to the localities and the parents.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am a public school teacher. I bring a perspective to education policies that other candidates do not have.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
Cutting government spending, protecting individual liberty, and ensuring election integrity are among my top priorities.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I handle a classroom full of high school students everyday, so I think I can handle the members of the General Assembly.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
My grandfather taught me it takes a lifetime to build trust, but only a moment to lose it.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
My husband and I enjoy supporting the different small businesses in this area. We love to eat local and we really appreciate that the 86th District has so many diverse choices.
